Mazatlan Real Estate                              "What's New"
                                                                     Mazatlan

Que onda means “what’s happening” in Spanish. I am taking daily photos of events, beaches, people, hurricanes, you name it and I’ll record it in color. This is a slice of everyday life in Mazatlan. As time goes on, you will see a lot of the city and culture that makes this a special place for so many people. I’m limited to one pictorial a week, so many photos don’t make it to Que Onda. The photos are limited in size as well so you only get a taste of the real event. A picture is worth a thousand words so fill your mind with a taste of life in Mazatlan and remember, there is a lot more than meets the eye amigo.
GOURMET COFFEE SHOPS

GOURMET COFFEE SHOPS

Wow! Over 30 coffee shops in MZT.....if you're within 1 mile of the Playa, you've got some of the Best Beans the world has to offer..........from Chiapas, Mx.

A couple of these Bistros offer quite a list of entres from their kitchen. Most have quite a selection of pastries, Quatros serves liquored drinks as well as providing gourmet food from the their kitchen.

If you haven't seen MZT with a caffine buzz...........it will jazz up your day....... and it's always best at least a couple hours before the margarita buzz.

We didn't have room to show all the Bistros. But don't take our word for it.........Check them all out! Be sure to taste the Mocha Mexicana........made with real Mexican chocolate.

Buen Provecho!

Aero Fest Mazatlan

Aero Fest Mazatlan

Great entertainment along the Malecon.... There is always something going on along the beaches.

This was not a race but a avionics demonstration  and these pilots were good!!!

Imagine  a weed blower attached to a large room fan  and you're close to a lot of theses flying machines.

The tricked out hang glider taxied along the beach and was airborne in 250 feet- this was a nice ride.

It was fun, colorful, inspiring and a memorable walk down Avenida del Mar.

Grand Pacific Marathon 2009

Grand Pacific Marathon 2009

Better than a Tony Robbins Seminar! The energy, determination, pain and calculated vision was dripping off the faces of the Marathon runners December 6th. You could not escape the inspiration and suffering, it was an emotional hour. Although I have never been to a Tony Robbins seminar, this was right there and not a Word Spoken. Mohamed Fadel from Morocco won the event and set a new record, you will see him behind the motorcycles. Unfortunately, over 26 miles and hundreds runners I only have 16 photos to share-check it out!

Plaza Machado

Plaza Machado

Plaza Muchado is the oldest plaza in Mazatlan. There are many sidewalk cafes, galleries and bars that feature some of the finest 19th century architecture in town. On weekends and evenings this place really comes alive with local musicians, cultural events and artisan bazaars-everyone is having a good time! At the southeast corner of the plaza you will find the Angela Peralta Theater. This place is awesome and hosts some of the best events in Mexico. Completely rebuilt in 1992 in European opera house style, this theater is the only one of its kind on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. If you"re looking for a taste of Mazatlan, a good time or to meet some local Mazatlecos, spend Friday or Saturday evening near Plaza Muchado.

Mazatlan Beaches

Mazatlan Beaches

It"s quiet on the beaches right now. The snow birds are just starting to return and with the hot summer behind us, the nationals are not swarming to the playa to cool down-tranquilo! As winter nears up north, I thought it only appropriate to give you a taste of what you"ll see on your next visit to MZT. I started at the southern point of Olas Altas and continued north to Cerritos at the base of Emerald Bay (approx. 15 miles). I finished up with a few photos of Playa Bruja, my favorite beach/hangout in town. The waves have changed over the last couple weeks, pounding the beaches and creating a different terrain. Check it out amigos, I"m saving you a spot in the sand.......Hasta pronto

Olas Altas

Olas Altas

Olas Altas is the historic waterfront that features many of the land mark structures from the early 1900"s. Hotel Belmar was built in the 1920"s and was frequented by many famous characters. The Freeman Hotel offers the best views in town. There are new restaurants along the Malecon and some on the way. Olas Altas is on the edge of the city, start walking toward the market and the ambience will overwhelm you. If I could plan my first trip to Mazatlan, I would have my 1st breakfast on the Malecon and go from there!
